More Concepts!

This time we have some Skylanders 3Ds concepts from Chris Bromby at https://www.chrisbromby.com/

Chris worked on Swap Force and Giants as the art director, and he still works alongside large companies to this day, even working on Super Nintendo World!

Chris designed Frightbeard and his ship with some neat scale references too!

Skylanders Commercial and Cinematics Concepts by Ivy Tai

Ivy seems to have been working on Skylanders advertisements since the beginning. It's neat to see how much love and care went into even just the commercials! Unfortunately I couldn't find higher res screenshots but if you would like to look at all of their concepts they have their own blogspot page right here!

I couldn't find anything that suggested they worked on Superchargers or Imaginators. 

Ivy also worked on the 3Ds games cutscenes for Swap force and Giants.

Skylanders Toy Concepts and Pantones

More concepts by Jeff Murchie for toys! I appreciate how the gold colors are labeled 'Trigger Happy Gold' I think it makes digging these up a bit more fun. Jeff mentions how these were used to also better communicate colors in the case of a Pantone typo.

Murchie also had some toy designs on his page. For example this Imaginator base guide.

Jeff Murchie Skylanders Concepts Appreciation

I think it's quite interesting to see how the artists worked on the models! It's also neat to use his work as reference to learn how to properly do markups. Since I also aspire to be a game developer I enjoy digging through what I can find of the productions and analyzing them to the best of my ability.

And it turns out the Jeff Murchie also worked on the toys as well! You can see how markups work here too. How I wish I could work at TFB someday...

Skylanders Model Ripping

 Welp, I finally have it. Thanks to help from JesseTheLamest (JesseTheCoolest in my opinion) who has run me through the steps and programs required to do this. My dreams of finally ripping Skylanders models have come true!

So my current project is to rip most models from Skylanders Superchargers and get that all uploaded online. And oh man does it take a long time to even get one model out there...

Lost Islands Guides

Well thanks to my newfound Lost Islands addiction (Booting it up every hour or so and in between classes) I had the big brain very smart idea of adding more guide pages to the current Lost Islands page under all of the other games.

Though I am debating creating a new page specifically for Lost Islands, I don't want this site to devolve into clicking millions of links to get where you want to be.

Anyways enjoy these guides, and I'll update them as I go through the game, and hopefully I can rip assets for better images...

Coming Back With Some News!

 Hey, well I'm returning to my Skylanders blog site finally, a lot has happened in that time but the best news here is that Lost Islands is no longer, well, lost.

 I'm dumping a lot of my old Skylander fanart here, hopefully, I'll get around to working on the Fanart page soon. I'll also add the dates of creation to show improvement! They're put in order of creation.

Haul

 New Skylander haul! 6 Skylanders for $39 USD

I only got the bottom half of Gold Washbuckler so I guess that counts towards 1/2 of a Skylander..? I'm only 6 Skylanders away from finishing the full SSA collection now, getting pretty excited! With StinkBomb I just need a spin swapper to finally 100% Swap Force, I'm hoping to get Free Ranger at some point.
