More Skylanders for the Collection!

More Skylanders arrived today!

With the last of my christmas money I Deeecided to buy some more Skylanders! I'm a sucker for the minis so I definitely had to buy more...

Thanks to SCL for having some amazing prices! And they even gave me a free sticker! (I love stickers so that went on my PC immediately) Though I did forget to put my P.O box number on the package, and with my state's new postage regulations, they were going to send my package back! Luckily I managed to get it in time with some help since I was at school at the time.

They also gave me a cute note with a doodle, I feel so appreciated :,)

I hope I can order again in the future! I'm planning on saving up for thrillipede so if they ever do get him in-stock... 

Skylanders Kiosk Demos

We have some Imaginators Kiosk demo files from the Skylanders Reverse Engineering community! I'm also linking them in the helpful links page for the sake of archiving them.

But if you don't want to dig through them, I'll overview them here.

Here's the 'Attract' file, the standard video that loops on the kiosk in most circumstances.

Most of the files from the kiosks are videos, with a few extra tidbits of code included for the sake of archiving the exact files.

Ro-Bow's kiosk video file

Imagine being lucky enough to see this in stores, I can only dream... Luckily I pride myself on being a proud Ro-Bow owner, though enough of my bragging and back to the rest of the rundown. Also, these videos showcase the Imaginators themselves alongside the senseis, alongside their special item unlocks.

Even Skylanders that weren't released physically in stores like Chompy Mage have video files. Though the Giants and originals are missing entirely. Probably because they weren't being sold in stores at that point? Though I can't recall since I actually never bought any senseis in-store when I was younger. 

The ERROR1.AVI is a copy of ATTRACT.AVI this time, unlike other kiosk files where the error file is its own unique video, usually just black text on a red background telling you to plug in a portal, it honestly looks like a cheesy creepypasta.

I couldn't find anything else of note while looking through these so if you do decide to look through them yourself please message me if you find more stuff of note!

Imaginators 3Ds leak?

Happy New Year! And with this new year we have Skylanders Imaginators for the 3Ds?! Well, actually I just worked a little too hard on a prank...

I modelled the banner and made the icon but not much else. Actually, I modelled the text, and retextured, posed, and heavily modified King Pen's Ring of Heroes model. I retextured the whole thing to avoid suspicions of using any other model, and also to make it look more '3Ds-like'.

The model has to be one mesh and use only one texture. Which resulted in the end result texture looking like this.

I'm pretty proud of this project in general actually!

"What about the application itself?" That was all done by Maff, a programmer in the Skylanders community who works on multiple fangames! (a few of which I have also been a part of, but have left for various reasons.)

This just kinda spawned as a joke from somebody saying their favourite Skylanders game was Imaginators 3Ds, I thought that was funny, and thus became this. The fact that there would be a leaked beta is inconceivable but I wanted to see what the community would believe after all these years, and if they would actually believe that the game was planned.

After doing this I made the Reddit post and waited a few days to see what would come from it.

It turns out most people played along with the joke. And some unfortunate people asked for downloads or a dumped rom. It doesn't load anything but a blue screen but they don't know that. I lied about file size and other junk, "yeah a friend sent it to me".

Well happy 2024! Personally I'm having a crisis over this... 2024 already? Trap Team turns 10 this year-

 Merry Christmas everyone! And a happy new year!

I got Knight Light, Spotlight, Sunscraper Spire, and a light trap from my grandma! And the Hot Dog ornament has been put up again this year! My dad gets tired of seeing it but I think it's hilarious. I also plan on buying more Skylanders with my Christmas money.

Ring of Heroes rips

 Well I've been back onto fixing all of these models and uploading them, meanwhile fixing all of my old renders on the page- 

Here's a few renders of some upcoming rips while I'm at it!

To be honest I could gush about the Awakened designs for hours, I wish that they could be some cool figures or something... (*Cough cough*, Activision hire me- *Cough*)

And as you can see, or hopefully see, these renders are a lot cleaner than those of my previous batch and they really let the textures shine through. I have been changing my rendering over time as I've worked on other model ripping projects, so hopefully I can get around to cleaning up the old renders.
